Attributed to John and Craig Ritchie's Wheeling Flint Glass Works, Wheeling, VA (now WV). 1835-1840. 7 3/8" HOA, 4" D rim, 3 1/8" D base. Undamaged. Literature: Oglebay - Wheeling, p. 28, fig. 27. Provenance: Collection of Mimi and Fred Reed, State College, PA. Catalogue Note: This quart jug is identical to the cream jug in the Oglebay Institute Glass Museum. The creamer descended directly in the Ritchie family and was donated to the museum by Charlotte Claypool, a great-granddaughter of Craig Ritchie, Jr.
